Updated Fuel Efficiency Ratings for the 2024 Corvette Stingray

In its fifth model year, the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray features only a few minor updates compared to its 2023 predecessor. One notable change includes slightly adjusting the vehicle’s fuel economy rating. In this article, we take a closer look at the fuel economy of the 2024 Corvette Stingray.

For the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray, you can expect an estimated 16 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and a combined rating of 19 mpg. Notably, the 2024 model year saw a slight improvement of one extra mpg on the highway compared to the 2023 version.

It’s important to point out that the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray doesn’t introduce any significant mechanical or aerodynamic changes over the 2023 model. Additionally, despite the addition of several new standard safety features, the vehicle’s curb weight remains unchanged.

To summarize, the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which in its standard configuration produces a maximum power of 490 horsepower at 6,450 rpm and a torque of 465 pound-feet at 5,150 rpm. The factory exhaust option adds an additional 5 horsepower and 5 pound-feet of torque. Power is transferred through an M1L eight-speed automatic transmission, developed in collaboration with Tremec, and the Y2 platform provides the underpinnings. Production of the 2024 Corvette is underway at GM’s Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.
